Fit in some ‘me time’ - attend our yoga by donation session!

Donations for the eviDent Foundation welcome on entry

Come along to our lunch-time yoga lesson, generously donated by ADAVB member and qualified yoga instructor, Michelle Middleton. Enjoy a 20-minute combination standing and seated yoga practice, integrating multi-directional movement of the spine and upper body. The session is appropriate for those new to or already practicing yoga and there is no need to bring any equipment or change of clothing. Finish off with relaxing breath work and meditation. Leave refreshed, rejuvenated and ready for the rest of the professional program.

About Michelle

michelle middletonMichelle loves to share her passion for yoga and the benefits of yoga, particularly with her dental colleagues. She says, “Knowing about the musculoskeletal problems in dentistry makes me want to alleviate those mental and physical stresses, so we can all be happier and healthier for longer”.

Since starting her practise in 2005, Michelle obtained her 500-hour teaching qualification in 2012 with the British Wheel of Yoga at the same time as her B.D.S. She has been teaching yoga for eight years, including hatha, hot and yin (her new favourite).

She says that people often say that they are not flexible enough to do yoga. Her response is, “Do you have to be fit to join the gym? Throw away any preconceptions if you haven’t tried it, and if you’re already a practicing yogi, come along for some yoga specifically aimed at those sore spots from dentistry”.
